Training Local Workers
In the remote mountain regions of Northwestern Thailand these children would not have received proper medical treatment if not for the presence of a Refugee Relief International medical team.
Landmine Accident
Working by flashlight, RRI and local medical personnel treat a fresh landmine casualty. This boy was chasing a jungle fowl for dinner when he stepped on a mine.

Fighting Disease
This RRI team member saved the life of this infant, suffering from malaria.

Saving a Child's Leg
On the Thai/Burma Border, this child stepped directly on a landmine. His left foot was blown off and his right leg was severely injured. RRI members performed seven operations in seven days and were able to save the right leg.

Dental Care Badly Needed
Because there aren't any dentist in the area, RRI personnel are cross-trained in dentistry as well. Here they provide dental care to a young girl who badly needed care.
